A Leap of Faith

I was in the middle of flipping pages and mumbling, what seemed to be, endless Special Civil Actions Rules and what not. Suddenly, an outburst of "lust" awakened my innermost desire-to do the scribbling! And so I devoured myself into a few seconds of escape and so wrote---

A Leap of Faith
How do you start a journey? For some it’s as easy as a single leap, but for us who fell and failed, fought and fumbled, fearing of starting once more and losing again. A single journey is like starting a massive fire in the middle of the ocean. Our enemy is as vast as the sea. With no sufficient financial resources-barely a penny in reality. To start a journey in the business realm, was just, and still feels like, an impossible dream. But ANGELS are TRUE and like Cinderella’s wish, our dream did do come TRUE. YES, IT DID.
And the story began in one idle Sunday afternoon. While I was dreaming, he stood up and found a place to pursue the dream we both have for our future. He was a traveler, a very systematic, organized traveler. And so, at the early age of 30 he was able to go abroad many times before, visited sites that I only see in the movies. Suddenly, the idea, how about having a travel and tours agency?
I, on the other hand, am his avid supporter. I do the talking while he does the planning. And so we pushed our dreams to its limits until a breaking dawn unveils the possibility of turning it to reality. Amidst all the obstacles, from people to money to time, we were able to bring more or less 60 Law students to Manila for the first ever Bar Operations and Exposure Trip. Imagine 60 of them and just the two of us. God has interfered during those days, we were tired but we haven’t got the time to complain, afraid that the dream of a lifetime will vanish like a smoke. But yes, we survived! With only perseverance and each other’s trust, we survived! What a genuine happiness it brought.
The journey has to continue, with friends and family, and again, each other; we opened the DSL Travel and Tour Consultants in fiery orange and green on October 18 (Boy, that rhymes!). That song, “What a Feeling, keep believing!” an old striking song, is very true. Whether we’re doing the right thing or not, we don’t have enough time to think, so much is at stake. If there’s one thing that we have intact, it’s each other and well, few people and lesser penny. But look at us, still paddling in the middle of that vast ocean, no idea how to reach our destination, but that destination we shall reach, we will, we can.
And though the tide is sometimes too huge to conquer, and though we’re not so sure how to handle, and even if typhoon will hit our journey, the fact remains, this journey is all there is and each other is all that we have.

To success! Amen. <3
